So here it is…Rather than calling it as a journey, I better call it as a letter to all my incredible followers who have been supporting us from the beginning. So, this all started a while ago, when me and my friend, were working as assistant directors in the film industry. We were a part of few films. At that time, we were frustrated with the mainstream cinema, so we started the page to be critical about commercial cinema. During the initial days we used to be very critical on commercial cinema, but over the period of time we learnt, and empathised, we understood that that we shouldn’t be that way and toned down our cynicism. We always loved and supported independent and good cinema.
So, the most popular question is from where did the name Fukkard come? And what does it mean? Fukkard comes from “Fuck Hard” the commercial cinema. That was our rage back then.
The turning point of our life was when our page went viral, well known directors and actors started following us. We felt accomplished when the directors whom we grew up worshiping started following us. We slowly gained access to all the production houses, top directors and everything, that could help us grow, but we did not choose that path.
From the beginning we were inclined to independent filmmakers and producers who struggle to get a break in the film industry, without any background. By the end of making the film most of these directors and producers end up bankrupt, they won’t be left with any money to promote their film, that’s when we do our small bit, by promoting it through our page. We know their struggles as filmmakers, to give great content to the audience . We can name the films but if you are a follower of Fukkard you might already know the love we showed to those films. We are just a drop of ocean.
